It’s about pursuing a dream—embracing it with a pioneering spirit. It’s the journey of transforming a simple summer project into a shared success with childhood friends from Fanø.
It’s also about friendships and doing work you truly believe in and are passionate about, all while having fun—because that’s what it means to us at Lighthouse Burgers.
It’s about daring to dream and chasing your passion alongside the people you love.
Lighthouse Burgers lights the way—not just to a great burger but to a cool dining spot where everyone is welcome. A place of community and good vibes, both at the tables and behind the counter. “If we feel good, our guests will too,” is the philosophy.
Fanø finally has its own lighthouse—driven by the childhood dream that started on the island.
Lighthouse Burgers is dedicated to giving back to the youth culture from which they themselves emerged. Whether it’s the young employees working in the restaurant or the young guests who come to eat and hang out, they want to be more than just a workplace. “We want to create a space for community and great experiences—a place people remember,” they say.
The menu, like the burgers, embraces simplicity but is carefully crafted. The vegetarian burger isn’t just a meat-free option—it’s a deliberate choice for great taste. And even though they’ve perfected their recipes, Lighthouse Burgers is always striving to be just a little better.
On the westernmost edge of Denmark, just a few hundred meters from the roaring North Sea at Rindby Strand, four childhood friends opened a burger joint in 2019. What began as a summer project in their grandfather’s old butcher shop quickly turned into something much bigger. They wanted to create more than just another burger place—here, the sky had to feel a little higher.
Their mission was not only to serve an amazing burger but also to build a unique atmosphere where both guests and employees felt welcome—with high spirits, vibrant energy, and quality ingredients on every plate.
On this small Wadden Sea island, great ideas take flight, and the summer project is still going strong, now with around 25 employees. Today, Lighthouse Burgers serves delicious food made with local ingredients, including organic, freshly ground beef from Varde Ådal. They have spent countless hours developing and refining their ingredients—because what’s worth doing is worth doing well.
Here, you get a burger that celebrates simplicity, curiosity, and the belief that if the ambition is there, the project will thrive.
